So what are the benefits or cilantro an herb also goes by the name of coriander.   I remember the first time I was introduced it was by a childhood friends family.  The family was Mexican and I remember my friends mother would make every thing fresh from salsa to shrimp cocktail to even enchiladas.   I loved  the smell.  Matter of fact  I looked forward to when his mother made salsa and I would grab a spoon and dip it in to get the first taste.  My fondest memories of cilantro was always a  delightful one.

As I began to study cilantro I wanted to know why I got such a wonderful feeling whenever it was present.   In my research I found that cilantro’s energy is warm.  This is amazingly funny  because according to the five earth elements it falls under metal.  The earth element for metal is sadness.   However according to the five elements of taste it falls under spicy.   The five elements for spicy and taste falls under joy!  So that would explain why I love it so much.

Now as I get  more into the health benefits of cilantro understand that this is a powerful herb.    So powerful that it could not be consumed by itself.    When preparing cilantro always make sure you mix at least one once of cilantro per 8 ounce glass of water.  Cilantro is commonly used in many heavy metal detox programs.  It’s been found to remove HEAVY metals from the body.  In the process in which you can instantly remove large quantities of heavy metals you would have to do it using an enema.  The quick release of an enema prevents loosen metals from doing further damage on the way out.

Cilantro and a coffee enemas can be fast, effective way to remove those toxic metals.  However like many detoxification methods, they’ll need to be done repeatedly to achieve through results.

You may need a heavy metal detox if:

You eat non-organic foods grown in pesticides and fertilizers

Eating fish- living in polluted environments become polluted   (just as we do)

Smoke cigarettes, there are hundreds of chemicals in cigarettes-heavy metals too.

Foods cooked in aluminum cookware or aluminum foil

Take over the counter-drugs, including antacids

Use mainstream deodorants: Females often apply aluminum after shaving and creating small holes in skin.  Aluminum absorbs either way, but this makes it easier.

For many diabetics or prediabetics, nopal is a complete replacement for prescription blood sugar drugs. It regulates blood sugar with no negative side effects and no liver damage (which is one of the primary side effects of blood sugar prescriptions)

Safety note: Do not halt prescription drug use except under the direct supervision of a naturopathic physician.

I give the breathe of life

Yes I give the breathe of life.  As I think about how much I love being able to breathe and be in excellent health.  I also know that there are many Americans that are not in excellent health.  So I created a program that is both detoxing and energizing.   More importantly easy and simple enough for everybody to do.

Here are just a few benefits.

1) Tone your body from the inside out

2) Can get rid of cellulite within two to three weeks.

3) Tighten loose skin with a noticeable difference within week

4) Virtually impact free (No strain on the body)

This campaign will be the first of how to acquire optimal health through creating more oxygen flow to your body. Purify your body, purify your mind and purify your spirit.  You will learn to filter out toxins by getting proper nutrition and engaging in cardiovascular workouts that will allow you to move your lymphatic system.  It will decrease disease and make it impossible to live in your body.  How do you achieve optimal health?  It is achieved in three ways.  Let’s began with the obvious way. Nutrition you are what you eat!  We have heard this for many years.  Some how is it that this expression has become a joke over the years?  You really need to eat good LIVE foods.  It is often said that Americans are overfed and undernourished.  What does that mean?  It means that Americans eat a LOT of food that is not good for them. Not to mention a lot of food with no nutritional value.  Empty calories and loaded with sugar.  Yes sugar.  A drug and an unnatural substance.  Yet the worst thing I feel known to man kind. Exercise yes the E word  that most of us dread.  There are so many different weight-loss and exercise equipment and programs available.  And over and over again the American consumer will purchase billions in exercise equipment every year.  I have had many clients ask me does a particular exercise equipment work and I ALWAYS answer by saying all exercise equipment works you just have to use it.  It is common to go to someone’s house and they are using there fitness equipment as furniture

Cardiovascular which is an aerobic activity with oxygen?  Not to be confused with an-aerobic without oxygen.  Or another way to describe it would be to move the lymphatic system.  I have designed the oxygen workout in three components.  It is designed with using the lympholine, walking and jump roping.  Jumping roping helps release the fat burning hormone (HGH).
HGH is a hormone that your body releases naturally, which burns body fat like crazy.  Your core really gets worked hard since your abs has to contract to stabilize your entire body as it propels through the air. The oxygen workout has been designed to be simple and fun leaving you with maximum results.

Lemon Water – Alkalising Superstar

lemon waterAlmost as cunningly simple in its title as ‘green drink’ – lemon water is quite blindingly straightforward in its makeup: it is water with lemon squeezed in. Could it be any easier?

The beauty of lemon water is that it is tasty, refreshing and best of all, alkalising. The lemon juice raises the alkalising effect of the water so even with standard tap water you can make your drink nice and alkalising.

However, for the full lemon water effect: distilled/ionised water with Alkalive’s pH booster (or Prime pH or another pH drop) and lemon creates the ultimate alkaline water. The trick however, is to have the water lukewarm. If the water is too hot or too cold then it will cause the body to expand energy in order to process it. Lukewarm water also has that comforting feeling to it…

I know a lot of you know about lemon water already, through reading/learning about alkalising or through Gillian McKeith (who also recommends lemon water on rising) – but it is always a good thing to reinforce the basics.

So What Are the Benefits of Drinking Lemon Water?

Apart from being an amazing body alkalizer/alkaliser, lemon water also gives the following health benefits:

  • Lemons are antiseptic
  • Lemon water has excellent digestive properties and can ease heartburn, bloating and other digestion problems
  • Lemon water cleanses and stimulates the liver and kidneys
  • Lemon juice contains calcium, magnesium and potassium
  • Lemon juice has been known to relieve asthma
  • Lemon water (hot) offers relief from cold and flu symptoms while providing some much needed Vitamin C
  • Lemon juice is a great skin cleanser

So if you do not do anything else – start every single day with a glass of lovely lemon water!

What are Enzymes

What are Enzymes?

Enzymes assist in the digestion of foods. They are known to be the “Life-Force” and or “energy” of food.

As defined in the dictionary enzymes are any of the various complex organic substances, as pepsin originating from living cells and capable of producing certain changes in organic substances by catalytic action, as in digestion.

Why are enzymes important?

Enzymes are important because they assist in the digestion of food. If you eat food that is enzyme-less, your body will not get maximum utilization of the food. This causes toxicity in the body.  Can you guess why over 75% of Americans are overweight?

Viktorus Kulvinskas, one of the worlds foremost and most experience active researchers into enzyme nutrition has information showing then stomach acid merely deactivates food enzymes. The enzymes are then reactivated in the more alkaline small intestine. Many people who eat all raw foods, sense a world of healthful difference in our energy, digestion and connectedness with nature by eating enzyme rich living foods. When we stopped eating cooked protein foods which require large secretions of stomach acid (which is not healthy for several reasons) our stomach doesn’t produce much stomach acid. Many people who eat raw foods eat a low protein and are free from the stomach acid secretions and have more energy and a lighter disposition.

If your joints are groaning loudly these days, go ahead and blame the cold weather. Frigid temperatures have long been associated with inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and joint pain that can affect the hips, knees, elbows, shoulders and hands, according to this piece in the winter issue of Well magazine, Swedish Covenant Hospital’s health and wellness publication.

Researchers aren’t exactly sure why cold weather makes us so stiff and sore, but joints contain sensory nerves that respond to changes in atmospheric pressure, said Ronnie Mandal, an internal medicine physician at Swedish Covenant. The receptors are most reactive when there’s low barometric pressure, or the atmosphere has gone from dry to moist, as if it’s about to rain, Mandal said.

“It’s also believed the cold weather causes the joint lining to constrict,” Mandal said, a situation that could create stiffness and discomfort.

Cold weather doesn’t just affect joints, however. People with high blood pressure should make sure they’re dressed warmly when temperatures drop because the body’s reactions to low temperatures also stresses the cardiovascular system. To conserve heat, the muscles contract to obstruct the flow of blood to the arms and legs. This reroutes extra blood to the vital organs and boosts the blood pressure,” Mandal said.

Activities such as shoveling snow, meanwhile, can cause heart attacks by triggering an increased demand for oxygen at the same time the heart has reduced oxygen supply due to tightening of the arteries.

Walking the wrong way can lead to wasted effort or even injury.  Avoid these five walking mistakes:

  1. Head down. Looking down while you walk can lead to problems with your back, neck, and shoulders.  Instead, keep your head up, and your eyes focused 10 to 20 feet ahead.
  2. Leaning. Leaning forwards or backwards while walking can result in back pain.  Stand up straight but with relaxed shoulders.  Your chin up and parallel to the ground.  Pull in your abs and tilt your pelvis slightly forward so you can stand tall and walk without a swayed back.
  3. Over striding. When walkers try to walk faster, they often reach out further with the forward foot.  Instead, concentrate on taking shorter, quicker steps and really pushing off with the back foot.  You will soon be walking faster and with more power.  This will also help prevent shin splints and other problems.
  4. No Arms. Walking without any arm motion is a mistake.  Use your arms when you walk to add power and speed.  Bend your arms ninety degrees and swing them naturally back and forth.
  5. Chicken winging. Swinging your arms too much is also a mistake.  Instead, keep your arms close to your body and swing your arms mostly back and forward.  Your hand should not cross the centerline and should come up no higher than the breast.

Now you are walking without the walking mistakes.  Keep your chin up, do not lean forward, use your arms, do not over stride, no chicken winging, and smile.

Iodized salt, made for the convenience of lazy ass homosapiens is killing our mothers and sisters. Iodized salt inhibits the body’s ability to circulate blood. When taken in conjunction with carbonated drinks, it also creates clumping in fatty tissue. This is called cellulite. Try a test. Ask a woman in her 40′s with perfect thighs if she drinks Coke. The answer will be no. Ask a woman in her 30′s with cellulite and she will say yes.

Did you know: Cellulite is caused by Iodized Salt + Cola?

1. Build Muscle Mass Strength training builds lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories at work or at rest, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week. The more lean muscle you have, the faster your metabolism will be. How do you start strength training? Try some push-ups, or a few squats or lunges. Use 5 lb. free weights to perform simple biceps curls or triceps pulls. Do these exercises three to four times per week and you will soon see a boost in your metabolism as well as an improvement in your physique?
2. Do Not Skip Meals or Drastically Reduce Your Caloric Intake If your body senses that food is in short supply, it will slow your metabolism to conserve energy. Over time, the result is that when you do eat (even if you consume the same foods as always) your body will be slower to use the calories as fuel, thus creating a backlog of unwanted pounds. A good strategy is to cut your caloric intake by no more than 500 calories per day and never less than 1200 calories total each day. Once you determine your goal for calorie consumption, divide those calories into 6 different small meals/snacks through out the day.
3. Increase the Amount of Protein in your Diet Most researchers agree that protein helps to stabilize the secretion of insulin into your blood stream, a process that can affect metabolism. The average person would benefit from protein intake at a minimum of 70 grams or higher each day.
4. Aerobic Workout 3 days a week Even though exercise does not affect your RMR, the extra calories you burn could add up to an additional 1-2 pounds of weight loss per month.
5. Increase Movement in Daily Lifestyle The more you move, the more you burn! You can actually make a significant addition to the number of calories you burn each day by relatively minor changes in lifestyle. This can be as simple as taking the stairs instead of the elevator; park a distance from the mall or office; window-shop with your best friend rather than sit over coffee; walk the dog instead of just let him out; do a little gardening or clean house while you talk on the phone. Making these types of changes for just 20 minutes of your day will cause you to burn an additional 100 calories per day or an additional pound per month. Making more of these changes can help you burn as much as an additional 1,000 calories per day!
6. Go For an Evening Walk Although exercising any time is good for you, evening activity may be particularly beneficial. Many people’s metabolism slows down toward the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before dinner increases your metabolic rate and may keep, it elevated for another two or three hour. What that means for you: those dinner calories have less of a chance to take up permanent residence on your hips!
7. Get Adequate Sleep As funny as it sounds, sleep deprivation may make you fat and not just because you are susceptible to cases of the late-night munchies. According to researchers at the University of Chicago, women who got less than four hours of sleep per night had a slower metabolism than those who slept for a full eight hours.
